Some mini PCs have SIM card slots and support 3G/4G wifi, but many users don't know how to use them, our staffs have done some tests and demonstrations here.
Part I: Test checklist
Test Hardware: P05B-i7-5550U Mini PC, HUAWEI ME909s-821 TD-LTE 4G Wireless Module, 4G SIM Card
Part II: Step-by-step guide
Step 1 Open the microcomputer case and insert the 4G SIM card into the SIM card slot on the motherboard.
Note: Not every mini PC has a sim slot, please check with your salesperson before placing an order.
Step 2. Fix HUAWEI 4G wireless module to mini pci-e slot
Step 3: Cover the back of the mini PC, connect the power, mouse, keyboard and monitor and turn on the mini PC. Click the wifi button at the bottom right corner, at this time we can see LTE wireless connection but disconnected, it will show a message and ask us to add APN network.
Step4. Click “Network&Internet settings”and go to “Settings”
Step5. Click “Cellular”
Step6. Click “Add an APN”
Step 7. Go to APN window, and input the information(anything ok)
Step8. Click “Save”
Step 9. Now the APN wifi available, click it to connect to 4G wifi
Step 10 At this step you can get online, you can see that the WIFI is LTE 4G WIFI from the SIM card.
