Summary: In our everyday computer usage, encountering freezing, blue screens, or other unexplained errors is not uncommon. Typically, troubleshooting can begin by addressing the following:
- Verify if the operating system is damaged; consider restoring or reinstalling the system as a troubleshooting step.
- Examine the memory stick for faults. Employ the MemTest86 test tool to assess memory functionality for any irregularities. (This article focuses primarily on this aspect).
- Investigate for any hard drive abnormalities, such as bad sectors, firmware bugs, or flash chip irregularities. Consider replacing the hard drive after conducting tests.
- Explore updating the BIOS version.
- Consider troubleshooting by replacing the motherboard or CPU if necessary.

2, Insert the USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer. Unzip the memtest86-usb .zip file. After unzipping, execute the imageUSB.exe file. Choose the USB flash drive that you just inserted. (Note: This action will erase all data on the USB flash drive. Ensure that you have backed up your data before proceeding!) Select "Write," confirm with "Yes," and then click "Yes" again to begin the writing process. Wait for the firmware to be successfully written, then click "Exit" once the process is completed.
3, After successfully writing to the USB flash drive, insert it into the USB port of the model you want to test. Power on the device and press the switch button to boot. Quickly press the F7 or F11 key on your keyboard to enter the Boot Setup menu. Select the USB flash drive with the "UEFI:" prefix to enter MemTest86. Navigate using the keyboard arrow keys or mouse to select "Config" and then "(S)tart Test" to initiate the test. The testing process typically requires more than 4 hours to complete. (Testing duration may vary based on memory capacity and configuration.)
4, wait for the completion of the test, such as the appearance of the word PASS, that the memory stick is normal.
If the word Errors appears, it means that the memory stick is abnormal, you can try to replace the memory stick to solve the problem.
