OVERVIEW
CloneZilla can completely migrate a system such as Windows/Linux to another machine, making sure that everything is identical in terms of data, partitions, mounts, boot entries, and so on.
Note: The machine to be restored needs to be configured with the same key hardware as the machine the image is packaged on, or else problems such as unavailability of drivers for the graphics card may occur.
1、Download CloneZilla
Download: https://clonezilla.org/downloads.php
Select the second item stable -3.1.0.22
Select CPU architecture as amd64.
Select file type as ios.
Click Download to download the image file.
2, the production of CloneZilla boot U disk
Download rufus authoring tool to make a USB flash drive, download address: http://rufus.ie/downloads/
Insert the USB flash drive and run rufus, select the USB flash drive in Drive, select stable -3.1.0.22.iso in SELECT, select GPT in Partition scheme, select START to start writing after the configuration is complete.
PS: The production will delete all the data files in the USB flash drive, please make sure the data in the USB flash drive has been backed up before production!
Click 2 OK when prompted, wait for writing to complete, press Close to exit and eject the USB flash drive.
3, Performing Windows/Linux system packaging
Preparation
CloneZilla startup USB flash drive.
A USB flash drive with a capacity larger than 16G (for storing the packaging files, it is recommended that the storage capacity of the USB flash drive is larger than that of the CloneZilla startup USB flash drive to facilitate the differentiation of the packaging process).
Ensure that the system to be packaged can be booted normally and the driver has been installed. Note: If used to package a Windows-based system, please make sure that the system to be packaged is not connected to the Internet, so as to avoid activation failure when using the key to activate the system in the future!
Insert the CloneZilla boot USB flash drive into the USB port of the computer to be packaged, press the computer's On/Off button and quickly hit F7/F11 to enter the boot menu, select the USB flash drive with the UEFI: prefix and enter to confirm the ClonZilla packaging wizard.
Pick Cloneaill Live (VGA 800*600),
Choose language and keyboard layout.
Select the working mode: here it is recommended to select Start_clonezilla Start Clonezilla.
Pick device-image work disks or partitions using images;
Pick Local_dev Use local device(E.g:hard drive,USB drive);
Insert the backup USB flash drive, wait 5-10 seconds and then press Enter to go to the next step and confirm that the backup USB flash drive is recognized. Press "Ctrl+C" to exit after recognizing the USB flash drive.
Select Backup USB Flash Drive, and if there are multiple partitions on the USB flash drive, be sure to select the partition with the largest capacity.
Pick no-fsck skip checking/repairing the file system before mounting;
Move to with the Tab key on your keyboard and select to proceed to the next step;
Wait for the system to detect whether the capacity of the backup USB flash drive meets the capacity required for packaging, and press Enter to enter the next step after confirming that the conditions are met;
Pick Beginner Beginner Mode>Savedisk;
Enter a name for the backup file, or you can use the default name;
Selecting a Backup Drive Name
Select the compression option, usually just choose the default;
Ask if you want to check the IMAGE, here you can choose to skip the check, which saves time in closing the backup;
Pick senc not to encrypt the image;
The system will ask what operations should be performed after completing the packing, here we choose -p poweroff, and finally enter y to confirm the backup, after the backup is completed, the computer will enter the shutdown state, at this time the packing backup has been completed, and the backup file (image) will be retained in the backup USB flash disk.
4, System Restore
Insert the CloneZilla boot USB flash drive into the USB port of the computer you need to restore, the steps of system restore are basically the same as step 3 of the package, the same parts will not be introduced, this article starts directly from the different parts.
Enter the following page, select restoredisk.
Select the naming from the previous encapsulation and backup;
Select the drive;
Select KO Use the partition table from the image;
Select scr No,skip checking the image before restoring;
Select -p poweroff when the restore is complete;
Confirm the restore information, press the Enter button after confirming the restore is complete, press the y button twice to confirm the relevant information, the system will automatically shut down after the restore is complete, and shutting down the system indicates that the restore is complete. After the restore is successful, remove all external storage devices on the USb port, press the switch button, the system will automatically enter the operating system desktop, and the introduction of using CloneZilla for package restore is complete.
