The Mini PC model FMP07 has a computer case measuring just 125*133*38MM, the size of the palm of your hand. Despite its small form factor, the motherboard is equipped with an integrated Intel Core i3-4010U CPU, complemented by an HD4400 GPU that supports Ultra HD 4K resolution.
Many people prefer to use the existing low-power RAM and SSDs on their old laptops, which prompts them to want to specialize in quasi-system mini PCs.Now, let us guide you step-by-step through the process of assembling this fanless mini PC into a complete computer.
First, when you receive your mini PC, check the package and its components.
Have all necessary memory and storage components ready. If you purchased a WiFi-free version of the Mini PC, but you intend to use this feature, make sure that WiFi is ready.
Step 1: Unscrew the four screws on the back case of the mini PC. Remove the back case to reveal the internal motherboard, including 1 memory slot (only compatible with low-power DDR3L laptop memory), 1 mSATA SSD slot, 1 half-height mini PCIe slot, and 1 SATA port.
Step 2: Insert the memory (make sure it is inserted correctly to avoid recognition issues). mSATA SSD and WiFi module share the same slot; use the small screws provided to secure them in place.
Step 3: For those who need to install a WiFi antenna (built-in), please note that our minicomputers usually come with WiFi pre-installed, so there is no need to perform this step for most buyers. However, if you want to replace or modify it, please follow the instructions below: unscrew the two screws next to the two antenna holes, remove the panel casing, and then remove the antenna from the designated hole.
Step 4. Reinstall the faceplate and secure it to the mini PC chassis using the two screws removed in the previous step.
Step 5. Tighten the outer screws to secure the two inner antennas.
Step 6. Continue with this step if you need to install additional hard disks; you can ignore this step if you are using SSD storage exclusively.
The 2.5-inch drive should be secured to the rear case during this step.
Plug the SATA cable and power cable into the SATA port on the motherboard.
Connect the other end of the cable to the HDD.
Slide the drive into position on the rear panel and align it with the screw holes, then tighten the drive.
Step 7. Secure the rear panel to the chassis and finish the job.
