Fault Phenomenon Description:
The wired NIC (Network Interface Card) is not recognized in the operating system, and networking cannot be established normally. In Device Manager under Network adapters, the Intel Ethernet Controller (3) I225-V appears with a yellow exclamation mark indicating an error.
Solution (Please follow the steps below to troubleshoot one by one):
Step 1: Update the NIC driver.
- Use the wireless card to connect to WIFI.
- Open a browser and navigate to the following URL: Intel Network Adapter Driver for Microsoft Windows 11.
- Download the latest version of the NIC driver.
- Once the driver is downloaded, unzip it and double-click the exe file to execute the installation wizard.
- Wait for the installation to complete and restart the computer to test whether the card can be used normally.
Step 2: Discharge residual power and restart.
- Turn off the computer safely and unplug the power cord from the host computer.
- Without plugging in the power cord, directly press the boot (SW) button to start.
- Wait briefly for any residual power in the motherboard and power adapter to discharge.
- After a short wait, re-plug the power cord and restart the computer. This method can help resolve issues caused by static electricity, which may interfere with the proper functioning of the network card.
Step 3: Remove recently installed hardware.
- Remove any recently installed hardware from the system. There may be devices causing hardware conflicts or compatibility problems.
Step 4: Test with a new Cat 6 cable.
- Try using a new Cat 6 cable or replace the existing cable with a known working one to test if it resolves the issue.
Step 5: Repair or reinstall Windows.
- Try repairing the installation of Windows. If this does not work, consider performing a fresh installation of Windows.
If the problem persists after attempting the above steps, please contact your vendor for further assistance.
